DSCOSTU X BANKII TEAM UP ONCE AGAIN FOR NEW FUTURE SINGLE “I’VE BEEN THINKIN”
DSCOSTU (previously Pretty Drama) & Bankii, aka, Jesse Watts are no strangers in collaboration, having worked on their 2020 single “Fall” together accompanied by Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter J Hoard. “Fall'' proved to be the pair's most successful effort with their latest single “i’ve been thinkin” expected to be no different.
Sitting somewhere between future bass and indie electronica, DSCOSTU X Bankii’s new record deliberately loiters, leaving room for the eruptive synth climax sonically similar to the likes of Maribou State. The track features an infectious vocal loop that continuously captivates the listener repeating the phrase “I’ve been thinking about the things that you say” above deep house chords, performative electronica, and disjointed beats.
The progression within the track itself is pretty phenomenal, expertly produced by DCOSTU & Bankii who mould so well together in collaboration. Another promising single calling attention to the Aussie produces’ electronic synergy.
