Disarme draws the listener in with haunting, powerfully dramatic, reflective, and dark music, with lyrics that lead toward more abstract and oblique. In her own words, Disarme wants to “amplify the silent cry of individuality, unnoticeable in the noise of big cities; yearning for beauty within chaos, with a serene melancholy.”

The accompanying video to the single is the perfect complement and goes well visually as a backdrop to “Change.” It’s impressionist, framed in beautiful colors, and scenic landscapes with Disarme existing and walking within it.

The Franco-Malagasy artist's music is influenced by the sounds of 1990s, 2000s rock, and contemporary pop. This is definitely reflected in this track. Disarme ambitiously aims to find substance in life and is tackling themes she feels are important to Generation Y. In particular, these topics include disillusionment, lack of meaning, and ideals that are turned upside down within the margins of a world always known for crisis.

While she may not be a spokesperson for her generation yet and is still an emerging artist, Disarme is opening the door to this awareness and the start of very important conversations among her peers.
