DEZ DARE PREACHES “PSYCH-HYMNS, SOFT-PUNK AND GOOD TIMES” IN NEW SINGLE “GOLDEN HEARTBREAK IDEOLOGY”
Psych punk-rocker Dez Dare has now released his debut EP So Cold, Josephine put together from the comfort of his home with old pedals, guitars, and synths crafting a gritty garage punk sound.
The final track from the project, “Golden Heartbreak Ideology” boasts headbanging rhythm, end to end fuzz, and Dez’s wild spoken-word lyricism. According to Dez’s bio “Dare constructs “psych-hymns, soft-punk, that punches you in the brain while tenderly calling you to inaction.”
That sounds about right to me, with “Golden Heartbreak Ideology” seeming to be less of a tender punch and more of a psych-tinged knuckle duster during a trippy night of psychedelics.
Take from that what you will.
