DEAP VALLY SHREDS NEW SINGLE, “IT’S MY WORLD,” DESPITE IMPENDING BREAKEUP

Deap Vally has quite the history. The band formed after lead vocalist Lindsey Troy met drummer Julie Edwards at a crocheting class. This dynamic duo had an immediate edge that made them stand out, which shows within the first few notes of their triumphant single, “It’s My World.”

This song is gritty and heavy, utilizing classic punk rock techniques while integrating modern elements and their signature style to curate an anthemic sound. This farewell banger has insane guitar riffs, a contagious drum groove, and heavy overdriven bass playing. Everything about the track screams “modern classic.”

Though the band plans on parting ways, this is perhaps the best note they could have ended on. They are still full of power, leaning on the group’s electric chemistry to make a few last songs for themselves and their fans.

If you can catch their last few tour dates, be sure to do so. The single, “It’s My World” would be absolutely incredible live.
