CULTS DELIVERS EPIC PERFORMANCE AT THE FONDA, CAPTIVATING FANS WITH SONIC BRILLIANCE

Cults brought indie-pop energy to the Fonda Theatre with an electrified young crowd. Known for its close-up vibe and top-notch acoustics, the Fonda was an ideal stage for the band's set that felt nostalgic. It took me back to a time of familiar vocals and memories driving to their older albums. The crowd—a mix of dedicated fans and intrigued first-timers—responded with excitement. Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin, the duo at the heart of Cults, delivered their signature sound with a blend of confidence and charisma.

The performance was a well-crafted setlist with stunning abstract fun and colorful custom visuals ranging from colorful vegetables to the night sky. The band mixed hits from their debut with fresh material from their latest album To the Ghosts. Standout moments included a rendition of “Always Forever” with the audience locked in and a punchy version of “Go Outside,” showcasing the band’s knack for combining dreamy melodies with fun beats.

Brian Oblivion's presence and Madeline Follin’s compelling vocals were central to the night’s success. Their interaction on stage felt genuine and engaging, elevating the performance from a standard concert to a memorable event. Madeline’s performance was captivating as I couldn’t take my eyes off her charming outfit and makeup.

The encore brought the show to a high-energy close, leaving the crowd buzzing as they filed out of the venue. Cults' show at the Fonda Theatre was a masterclass in live performance, marked by sharp sound, compelling visuals, and a vibrant atmosphere.
