CONAN GENTIL SURPRISES WITH DEBUT SINGLE “LOCKNESS”
Conan Gentil is an indie-pop and self-proclaimed surf-pop artist at heart, first learning to play the ukulele while growing up in Hawaii. Conan was inspired by rappers such as Drake, Future, and even 21 Savage but found his voice softer and more subtle than his idols — in a good way.
Conan’s tale is sad, yet a truly inspiring one. After suffering the loss of his sister in 2019, a talented singer, Conan set to pursue his personal musical goals in her memory. His debut single “Lockness” certainly does not disappoint, staying true to his Brazilian roots, Hawaiian upbringing, and his curious blend of musical influences. It’s soft and hard at the time, highly danceable with Conan’s voice carrying a unique charismatic tone sitting nicely on the highly infectious indie-pop backdrop.
