COMING IN HOT!!! ATTACK ATTACK! BRINGS CRABCORE BACK TO THE FORGE IN JOLIET, IL

In this week’s episode, we take our GSM party to The Forge in Joliet, IL. The venue that started it all for us 4 years ago.  Attack Attack! triple teams their “One Hit Wonder” tour with Savage Hands and Versus Me, and from what we have seen so far, a whole lot of fan energy is getting injected for the show tonight. Attack Attack is out on the road for their new album Attack Attack! II, which has a lot of great energy to it. So, let’s get ready to rumble!!!!

Wisconsin’s own Versus Me hit the stage with aggression on their opening number, “Worst in You”, and this crowd was ready to rock out with the guys. After hitting the crowd hard with that opening number, “Blackout” rocked the crowd and got them moshing with this song.  The guys went back to some of their older stuff with “Control” and “Down,” which a lot of the old school fans sang along with. Dropping their new song “Snakes” within this set was a pleasure to see live. This band has made a name for itself over the last few years. Snagging some big tours and dropping a lot of new material.  Versus Me opened the night up on an aggressive note and got this Joliet crowd amped up for the next band.

Savage Hands keep the energy going with their opening song “Blue”, and again we were off and running for another exciting set. We got our first surfer of the night during song 3, “Love No More”. This was our first time catching this band and the mix of powerful instrumentals and vocal hooks was beyond anything we have seen in a while. This is definitely one of those bands that can suck a crowd in and keep them involved for the entire set. Other songs in this set were, “Halo”, “RED”, and ending the set on “Reload, Repeat”.  The fans were left wanting more and were also getting hyped up for Attack Attack!

This crowd was already amped up from the first two bands, and now the anticipation is over, and Attack Attack! hit the stage on fire with their opening number “Dance!” which got this crowd jumping.  This opening song has a great club feeling and epic metalcore breakdowns. The crowd opened up a monster mosh pit, and crowd surfers were coming in regularly after song two hit, which was “Chainless”. Attack Attack! played a 16-song set list that spanned the entire discography, dating back to 2008. This was a dance party and Warped Tour all mixed into one night. The fans produced some of the wildest pits and an abundance of crowd surfers that, at times, were overwhelming the barricade security. Some notable songs in the set were “ONE HIT WONDER”, “Karmageddon”, “Jump, Jump!”, and ending the set off with “Smokahontas” and “Stick Stickly”

We had a great time at this show, got involved in the mosh pits, and crowd surfed a few times. Lighting was phenomenal at this show, giving us the best opportunity to catch the action up close and personal. Well, we’re off to the next one, peeps. I hope that all who have been attending this tour have been having a blast; those of you who haven’t yet are in for a wild ride.
