COMEBACK KID TEAM WITH INCENDIARY’S BRENDAN GARRONE ON CRUSHING NEW SINGLE “YESTERDAY’S GONE”

Canadian hardcore heavyweights Comeback Kid are back with another taste of their upcoming eighth studio album, Chosen Hell, and this time they brought some serious backup.
The band has unleashed “Yesterday’s Gone,” a ripping new single featuring Brendan Garrone of Incendiary. The track arrives ahead of Chosen Hell, which drops November 6 through SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada.
And if you’ve been waiting for Comeback Kid to lean into everything they do best, “Yesterday’s Gone” delivers.
The track wastes little time, balancing Comeback Kid's melodic side with the aggressive, upbeat hardcore that has defined the band for years. The song only gets heavier as it moves forward, eventually crashing into a massive breakdown with Garrone helping push the intensity even further.
According to vocalist Andrew Neufeld, getting there wasn’t exactly a straight line. The song went through several rewrites, with the band pulling pieces from different demos and eventually smashing them together into one track. That process explains why “Yesterday’s Gone” feels like it has so many different moments packed inside without sounding stitched together.
Neufeld says the band wanted to play to their strengths, combining their melodic signature with aggressive hardcore before tying it all together with a punishing breakdown. Bringing Garrone into the mix raised the stakes, with the Incendiary vocalist as one of just two guests on the new album.
The result sounds unmistakably like Comeback Kid while still carrying the urgency of a band with something left to prove. There are hooks, there’s speed, and when it’s time to get heavy, they absolutely let the floor drop out.
Eight albums deep, Comeback Kid clearly aren’t interested in slowing down.
Chosen Hell arrives November 6 via SharpTone Records in the U.S. and Dine Alone Records in Canada.
