CHIVVY CREATES DREAM POP MAGIC ON "KIDDO"

Like walking through the dense fog into the afterlife, Gothenburg duo CHIVVY’s new cut “Kiddo” is a ghostly manifestation of delightful dream pop. Opening with the drone of hazy guitar plucks into a delicate swooning verse, the initial atmosphere created on “Kiddo” is equal parts enchantment and foreboding.

If you’re accustomed to the work of artists like Beach House and Cocteau Twins you’ll feel right at home on this first taste of CHIVVY’s upcoming album. The mystifying soundscape created by the duo grows deeper as you hurdle towards its ethereal chorus. There are subtle details of shoegaze-style gems to find around every turning corner too - deeper in the mist lies a sauntering drum groove, wailing electric guitars, and the voice of an angelic deity to anchor it all.
