CHAMP KIND’S NEW SINGLE "CENTIPEDE" HAS ONE ONE OF THE CATCHIEST CHORUSES OF THE YEAR

CHAMP KIND has evidently done their homework for their sultry new hidden gem “Centipede.” Everything in this mix does exactly what it intended to do, and that’s no easy feat. Each contributor seems to be perfectly synchronized with one another, creating a symbiotic sound.

Notably, this is one of the most engaging choruses I’ve heard in all of 2023, especially in grunge, or alternative metal, whatever you choose to call it. The vocalist’s range is impressive; I’d love to hear him go full-on Alice In Chains in the future, as he is clearly scratching that specific surface in this song.

Additionally, the guitarists’ tone is killer. Their complimentary rigs, down to specific settings on their pedals, even everything out–the song is easy to listen to while still remaining interesting for the audience.

Guitar music, generally, is making a major comeback; bands like CHAMP KIND on the rise make me optimistic for the future.
