CHALK HANDS END 2025 ON TOP WITH KILLER NEW SINGLE “BREAKING WAVES”

The British rock fiends in Chalk Hands have one hell of a new single titled “Breaking Waves” that’s bursting at the seams with punk energy and raw emotion. Combining all the best elements of post-hardcore, emo, and math rock, “Breaking Waves” could have just as easily been called “Breaking Conventions” the way it shatters genres and perfectly blends these sub-categories into one glorious, soul-shattering sound. Clocking in at just over two and a half minutes, the lads in Chalk Hands utilize every second masterfully. Pristine guitars clash with explosive drums and ultra-thick bass tones, with impassioned screams wailing above it all. The way Chalk Hands switch from somber to pummeling, from introspective to chaotic, from smash your head into the wall hysteria back to hug everyone around you, all in less than three minutes, needs to be studied. “Breaking Waves” might be coming out at the tail end of the year, but we’re officially designating this as a milestone for 2026.
