BY THE WAVES TAKE NOTES FROM CLASSIC ROCK ICONS IN THEIR OPTIMISTIC NEW SONG “LOOKING UP”

By The Waves is an indie rock unit based in Manchester, making room for themselves in music by creating an authentic signature sound. The repeated motif, “it’s a beautiful life” in their new song “Looking Up” is earnest, genuinely guiding their listeners towards a more positive mindset.

Lead vocalist Ben Thomas has a unique range that matches up with their one-of-a-kind sound perfectly. It is both soulful and powerful, taking listeners back to the work of classic rock artists while utilizing some reggae techniques to encapsulate the message Thomas is singing about. 

Fans of Rebelution would enjoy By The Waves; though they aren’t necessarily classic reggae, their uplifting message, and Thomas’ vocal technique would keep diehards interested.
