Edmonton post-punk outfit Home Front have announced their next chapter. The band will release their new album Watch It Die on November 14 via La Vida Es Un Mus Discos, and to mark the news, they’ve shared the lead single and video, “Light Sleeper.”

The track is a brooding, synth-driven anthem that showcases everything Home Front do best: urgent rhythms, stark melodies, and lyrics that balance vulnerability with defiance. “Light Sleeper” leans into the icy textures of classic post-punk while carrying the relentless drive of modern hardcore, a fusion that’s quickly become the band’s calling card.

Visually, the song comes to life in a cinematic new video that mirrors its tension and atmosphere. With shadowy imagery, disorienting cuts, and a mood that feels equally claustrophobic and cathartic, the clip enhances the track’s restless energy. It’s not just an accompaniment but an extension of the song’s pulse—dark, jagged, and impossible to look away from.

For Home Front, Watch It Die marks a significant step forward. Following the critical buzz around their previous releases, the new album promises to expand their sound into bigger, bolder territory. Expect a record that fuses the urgency of punk, the cold edge of industrial, and the shimmering melancholy of synth-pop into something uniquely their own.

With “Light Sleeper” setting the tone, anticipation for Watch It Die is already high. It’s a reminder that Home Front aren’t simply paying homage to post-punk’s past, they’re reshaping it for right now, with songs that feel both timeless and urgent.

Catch them at the Hollywood Palladium on November 23 and 24th.
