BOB MOSES LAUNCHES NEW ALBUM IN STYLE

Bob Moses kicked off the release of their new album, The Silence In Between, at Neuehouse Hollywood. Neuhouse is housed in the historic CBS Studios building.

After checking in, you walk in the front door and through a restaurant to a bank of elevators. You depart on the third floor and walk through an office workspace to a small stairwell that empties onto a roof.

The roof transports you into another world. A small stage is set up at the base of a large wall, and that wall is covered in a three-story white sheet. The sheet has Bob Moses projected on it, so you know you are in the right place. Two bars are on the far wall and the space is sparsely populated, maybe a couple of hundred people at most.

Bob Moses took the stage promptly at 7:30 pm. Jimmy Vallance thanks the audience and says it has been almost two years to the day since they have played a live show in front of a live audience. The setting is intimate, the band is laid back and confident, and the audience is gracious. They jump into “Hanging On,” bathed in purple light.

Tom Howie is enjoying himself, he asks the audience how they were doing and comments on the cold weather. He grabs his guitar and launches into another new song, “Back to You.” The next song is a real crowd-pleaser, “Tearing Me Up.” This kicks the audience into a new gear, everyone moving their body to the sensual groove.

Tom Howie says that “… Never Ending” is about a fictional never-ending musical set. They play one more song, the radio hit “Love Brand New.” And a few minutes before 9 pm, the band bows and leaves the stage, just as the album hits Spotify here on the west coast. Just in time for you to listen to it on the way home.
