BONOBO DELIVERS JAW-DROPPING SHOW AT THE GREEK IN LA

Simon Green, known by his stage name Bonobo, is a British musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. This past Saturday he filled the Greek Theater with fans young and old, new and seasoned, and treated us to a beautiful setting complete with a string quartet on top of his standard full band.

Having that level of commitment to sound does something different to the space. Live strings create an ambiance that you can’t replicate through a midi controller, live drums can’t be replaced by an electric bass kick. The same attention to detail was showcased by the wind instruments as well.

Accompanying the band for a large part of the show was an incredible singer, Nicole Miglis, whose voice was the perfect addition to the performance.

With the fall season beginning here in Los Angeles, we had a beautiful layer of rain join us and create a misty ethereal energy, perfectly matching Bonobos' sound. With this show being the last stop on his US tour there was a “homecoming” feeling in the air that made it all the more special.
