ATHEENA DROP HARD ROCKING NEW SINGLE “HUMDRUM”

Chicago’s Atheena just dropped one of the heaviest tracks we’ve heard in a minute. Their new single “Humdrum” is a slow-burning, riff-loaded monster that builds pressure and never lets it off.

The band pulls from the grittiest corners of doom and sludge, then threads it through a surprisingly catchy alt-rock backbone. It shouldn’t be this accessible, but that’s exactly why it works. “Humdrum” hits hard without losing its hook.

There’s weight in everything. Towering guitars, thick low end, drums that feel like they’re coming through the floor, and vocals that sit right in that sweet spot between grit and singalong. It’s the kind of track that could land with fans of Crowbar and Stone Temple Pilots without feeling forced.

The tempo stays locked into a heavy, stomping groove, but it doesn’t need to shift. The energy carries it. Every second feels intentional, every hit lands.

“Humdrum” doesn’t try to reinvent anything. It just does it better, louder, and heavier. Well done Atheena, well done.
