ANNA SHOEMAKER DELIVERS DREAMY ALT-POP PERFORMANCE WITH “WON’T MAKE ME CRY”

Brooklyn’s Anna Shoemaker beautifully blends elements of indie-pop, alt-rock, R&B, and Hip-hop to create an undoubtedly distinctive alternative pop sound. This year Anna released an EP titled Everything is Embarrassing featuring the intoxicating and acclaimed single "If You're Going (I'll Go)", Anna now returns with new stripped-back single “Won’t Make Me Cry”.

“Won’t Make Me Cry” features a minimalistic production with Anna’s vocals displaying a harmonized auto-tune effect similar to that of Bon Iver’s715 - CR∑∑KS”. Anna’s lyricism and expressive vocals are what really stand out in this track delivering an emotional performance as she romanticizes previous relationships and their lack of forthcoming honesty. “Won’t Make Me Cry” is a dramatic slow burn of an electronic ballad, remaining very heartfelt and bare until reaching it’s a more rhythmic climax.

It’s a stand-out record once again diversifying Anna’s dreamy alternative pop sound making a captivating follow-up to her most recent EP release.
