"UNRAVEL" INTO DEER FELLOW'S NEW TRACK AND LET YOURSELF BE FREE

Anxiety is a topic many artists sing about in their songs. Artist Deer Fellow released their new single “Unravel” about anxiety, which just makes you feel less alone when listening. Confronting your anxiety could be one of the hardest things to do, and this song validates all the feelings you have when dealing with it. With lyrics like, “Don't give in yet, don't you dare surrender… More can be done despite the fact that you're antsy… You can breathe slowly throughout… you’re unraveling, but it's alright.” Deer Fellow has written a song to embrace our anxieties and not punish ourselves for having them.

The song has a folk and indie sound, which relaxes and calms you when hearing unfortunate lyrics that happen to be relatable to many. Tackling mental issues alone is a hard journey, and the song is comforting and makes you feel heard and seen. There is importance in being vulnerable and in communicating your struggles, especially because people can relate and potentially help with your healing journey.

The song is written so beautifully and is so true to the struggles of mental issues that it normalizes the feelings we try so desperately to hide. The sounds coming from the violin, piano, and guitar feel like a safe space, and the lyrics are a blanket of acceptance. “Making something good out of a bad time," Deer Fellow did just that, creating a track to help with anxiety and the fears of our many thoughts.
