DROPKICK MURPHYS AND HAYWIRE ANNOUNCE SPLIT LP NEW ENGLAND FOREVER
Credit: Dave Stauble
Two bands. One region. Zero compromises. Dropkick Murphys and Haywire have announced a split LP titled New England Forever, and it’s about as New England as it gets. Loud, proud, and built for the pit, the release will be available exclusively at upcoming dates on the For The People…In The Pit St. Patrick’s Day Tour, running from February 9 through March 17.
Dropkick Murphys have long been torchbearers for working-class punk rooted in Boston identity, while Haywire represent the raw, present-day hardcore energy coming out of the same streets. Putting these two together feels less like a crossover and more like a passing of the mic, connecting generations through shared grit, pride, and volume.
By making New England Forever a tour-only release, the bands are doubling down on community and physical presence. You want it? You show up. You get in the pit. You sweat it out with everyone else. That choice fits perfectly with the spirit of the tour and the title itself. This is music meant to be experienced in real time, face to face, surrounded by people who get it.
As the For The People…In The Pit St. Patrick’s Day Tour rolls through cities from February 9 to March 17, New England Forever stands as a reminder of where this music comes from and who it’s for. No frills. No distance. Just punk and hardcore at full force, flying the flag exactly where it belongs.
