FOO FIGHTERS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM ‘YOUR FAVORITE TOY’ AND DROP TITLE TRACK

After months of build-up and cryptic previews, Foo Fighters have officially announced their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, and released the energetic title track as its first single. The album is set for release on April 24, 2026, via Roswell Records/RCA Records.

The new song, also titled “Your Favorite Toy,” arrives with a more aggressive edge than the band's recent material. Jagged guitars, pounding rhythms, and frontman Dave Grohl’s sardonic vocal delivery set a propulsive tone for what promises to be a bold next chapter in the Foo Fighters’ catalog. Grohl has described the track as the key that “unlocked the tone and energetic direction” for the rest of the album after the group spent more than a year experimenting with new sounds and dynamics.

Your Favorite Toy will be the follow-up to 2023’s But Here We Are and marks the band’s first studio album to feature drummer Ilan Rubin, who took over after Josh Freese’s departure. The record was co-produced by the Foo Fighters and Oliver Roman, and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent.

The album will feature a 10-song setlist that includes both the new title track and “Asking for a Friend,” which the band released last year. Foo Fighters have also announced extensive 2026 tour dates across Europe and North America, giving fans plenty of opportunity to hear the new material live when the world tour kicks off this spring.

Your Favorite Toy arrives April 24. Fans can stream “Your Favorite Toy” now and pre-order the full album ahead of its release.
