ARCHITECTS DROP A HEATER OF A TRACK, "BLACK LUNGS"

It’s hard to stand out as a band in the age of COVID. The entire internet space is crowded with TikToks, virtual candy-based games, and news - news, news, news. And then more news (mostly all sh*t).

During pre-COVID, a band would be able to shine and take pride in performing live and traveling all around the world. Not anymore. At least not right now. You see, touring is a band’s femoral artery to the heart and unfortunately, the novel Coronavirus has been nothing but plaque. Thankfully, a vaccine is on the horizon yet attending a live performance is far from near. And if you’re a band, don’t even begin to think of touring.

So how does a band stand out amongst the noise while keeping its arteries clear? For the UK-based metalcore heavyweights in Architects, it’s all about the music. From performing at the legendary Royal Albert Hall a week ago via live stream to releasing new music like the world is ending tomorrow, the five-piece band is back at it again with a new song titled “Black Lungs”.

Their latest release is ferocious yet kind enough to let you in for a sing-along. Heavy hitting guitars ripple throughout the track while Dan Searle pounds away on his fortified drum kit. Sam Carter’s vocals seem more refined and crisp allowing the listener to become almost magnetized to his voice. And if that wasn’t enough to sell you, dig into the music video - it’s a powerful eruption of metal ash that’ll have you moshing through molten lava.

The band’s forthcoming album ‘For Those Who Wish To Exist’ comes out on Feb 26th via Epitaph Records. Pre-order a copy by clicking here!
