BODYSNATCHER UNLEASH “VIOLENT OBSESSION” AHEAD OF NEW ALBUM HELL IS HERE, HELL IS HOME

South Florida deathcore mainstays Bodysnatcher have released their latest rager, “Violent Obsession,” via MNRK Heavy. The furious new track is the latest preview of their upcoming album Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home, set to drop Friday, April 10.
“Violent Obsession” wastes no time getting to the point. Downtuned guitars crash in immediately, drums hit with relentless force, and the vocals tear through the mix with a raw, unfiltered snarl. It is heavy in the way Bodysnatcher does best, suffocating yet tightly controlled. Every breakdown feels deliberate, every shift designed to hit harder than the last.
Lyrically, the track dives into dark emotional territory. Speaking on the inspiration behind the song, guitarist Kyle Carter explains, “‘Violent Obsession’ to me expresses hate for a person to the extreme. It’s about revenge and what you wish you could do to this person who’s abused you, or taken advantage of you. It’s about obsessively living in that headspace of hatred and wanting them to feel how they made you feel.” The result is a track that channels rage into something visceral and cathartic rather than chaotic.
The accompanying music video mirrors that aggression. Stark and performance-driven, it places the band front and center, amplifying the song's claustrophobic tension without distraction. It feels immediate and confrontational, matching the track’s intensity beat for beat.
With Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home arriving April 10 via MNRK Heavy, Bodysnatcher is signaling that this new record will not pull punches. “Violent Obsession” is direct, punishing, and focused. A statement from a band that knows exactly what they want to say and is not interested in softening the message.
The single and video are out now.
