SATICÖY TAKES YOU THROUGH A RIDE IN “TUCK ME IN”

Like a warm embrace, Saticöy encapsulates the uncertainty of endings in their new single, “Tuck Me In.”

Soft, sentimental sounds are made real by the strum of an acoustic guitar. The Los Angeles band embodies the feeling of “finding comfort lying on the floor” in this track. The majority of this song rocks you through a steady pace, keeping its theme through extremely sad sounds. The vocals echo in a Kellin Quinn pop-punk fashion, mimicking the emotions of listening to a bedtime story on a stormy night.

The previously slow tempo steadily picks up, with haunting noises that hit you at the back of your bones. In an emotional breakdown, the band explodes into a revelation that is equal parts raw and amazingly produced.

The constant feeling of being “dead weight” is a prominent motif of the track. Feeling like you need to be let go and succumb to the weight of your emotions is a feeling that many with depression can relate to.

This track is incredibly unique, from the epic buildup to the distant sounds of piano playing perfectly into the psychological warfare inside the mind.

In “Tuck Me In,” Saticöy leans into a vulnerability that their fans have not seen until now. It’s an explosive piece, one that appeals to the sadness of losing things. If Saticöy continues down this path, they’ll be big. We’re hoping to hear more like this in their upcoming LP, ‘Origami.’
