LOS ANGELES ALT ROCK ICONS FAILURE ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM FEATURING HAYLEY WILLIAMS
Los Angeles-based alt-rock pioneers Failure have announced their new album, Location Lost, and shared its gripping lead single, “The Air’s on Fire.” The forthcoming record will also feature a guest appearance from Hayley Williams, adding another compelling layer to the band’s evolving sound.
Failure has never been content to stay still. Since emerging from the Los Angeles scene in the early 1990s, the band has built a legacy around expansive atmospheres, dense guitar textures, and emotionally resonant songwriting. Their ability to balance heaviness with nuance has kept them influential across generations of alternative and space rock.
“The Air’s on Fire” feels like a natural progression. The track unfolds with brooding tension before blooming into a widescreen, immersive crescendo. Layered instrumentation and deliberate pacing give the song a cinematic sweep, reminding listeners why Failure remains masters of mood and momentum.
Williams’ involvement in Location Lost signals an intriguing sonic crossover. As the unmistakable voice behind Paramore and a formidable solo artist, she is poised to add a fresh dimension to Failure’s textured, atmospheric foundation.
Location Lost arrives April 24 via Failure Records, Arduous Records, and Virgin Music Group, marking the next bold chapter for one of alternative rock’s most enduring forces.
