Multi-million streaming UK collective PRESIDENT continue to carve out their own lane with the release of “Mercy,” a new single and lyric video arriving as they close out their first full U.S. tour supporting Bad Omens.

Launching in 2025 under a veil of anonymity, PRESIDENT has quickly built intrigue through a blend of heavy music, electronic experimentation, and cinematic atmosphere. The project resists easy categorization, prioritizing intent over image and letting the music speak for itself.

“Mercy” is a strong example of that approach. The track thrives on dynamics, balancing memorable melodies with riffs that hit with serious weight, before dropping into gritty, well-timed breakdowns. It’s controlled but powerful, a song that knows exactly when to hold back and when to push forward.

Lyrically, the track takes on heavier subject matter. “Throughout history, religion has been tied to profound division and loss,” the band shares. “This song is a reflection on that reality, and a way for me to come to terms with what it means on a human level.” That tension carries throughout, giving the song an added emotional depth beneath its polished exterior.

The lyric video adds another layer to the track’s atmosphere. It shows the lead figure of PRESIDENT almost like a ghost, moving through an old, dimly lit room while the lyrics sit over the top. It’s simple but effective, leaning into the project’s sense of mystery and giving the whole thing a slightly eerie, cinematic feel.

PRESIDENT is wrapping their first full U.S. tour with Bad Omens, a milestone that signals just how quickly the project has gained traction. The band performs tonight with Bad Omens in Los Angeles. Click HERE for tickets.
